===================

Two battery options are available for the Librem 14:

* 3-cell: Best option if you have a 2.5" SSD installed
* 4-cell: Best option if you do not have a 2.5" SSD installed and never intend to install one

Battery removal
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

#. :ref:`Remove the D-shell <l14_disassembly_d-shell>` if not already removed.
#. Disconnect the white battery connector.
#. Unscrew 3 mounting screws.
